Layer window - Show/Hide folder button

Hide and Show folders, like you can with single layers

I think you can already do this. The eye symbol next to the folder shows an open eye if all layers in the folder are shown, a closed eye if all layers are hidden and a half and half if some are hidden and some shown. If you repeatedly click the eye it will cycle through showing or hiding all layers in the folder.

No - because who ever developed the UI thought that we should move between the two panes all the time instead of just being able to do things efficiently....

You have to select the layers folder in the top pane so that you see its folders in the bottom pane and then you can change the status of a folder. But just as a shorthand for selecting its content - if a new layer is added to the folder it will not inherit the status...

Unfortunately the list of things that need rethinking/tweaking/finishing, and not to mention fixing, is growing
