Merge Wall

there is currently a 'Split' command but no way of merging/joining 2 or more walls.

i recently used the split command so i could break walls into parts to make clean intersections and then wanted to join several parts again but couldn't.

Not needed: just use the merge tool and you will have a complex profile- just switch it back to standard and you are done 😉

Easy trick. Select the wall and run the command "Megre walls". Then change the type of wall with the "Complex" to "Straight"

P.S. At the same time send a message with Dirk Cassel

Perhaps, we should wish to "Megre walls" has become more intelligent. If you combine the wall with the same parameters, then they will remain the same type as the original, but do not turn into "Complex".

thanks! seems to work very well

edit: still, if the function already exists, should be pretty easy to add an option in the 'Reshape' commands which is specific to standard walls - cuts out a several unnecessary clicks.

Please read this thread about using the Merge Wall feature for this function.

http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=27230

It can work, but not if the reference lines are offset, so this wish is still quite valid, but the other thread should be read by anyone wanting to use the Merge Wall "trick".

Cheers,
Karl
