Mirror dwg

I would like to be able to mirror AutoCAD dwgs when they are added into a model file. Where I would use this is where I am using a supplier's dwg eg they only have line drawings for a tap. They will usually only provide one elevation view and it would be good to be able to mirror this for different room elevations etc. I'm guessing text and dimensions would get messed up, but I don't think mirrored dwgs with text would be used often enough for it to be a problem. It seems odd that you can rotate the dwg but not mirror it.

If you used "Place External Drawing" to place the file then you can explode it and mirror it.
Placing as a drawing is just like the drawing on the layout pages - they can't be mirrored either.

Or you can just 'Merge' the DWG into your model - then you can mirror straight away.

If you placed the DWG as an XREF, I don't think you can do much with that.
I have never had to deal with XREFs so I am not sure on this one.
