More customisation for storey selection for all elements, just like the grid tool

I'd love to be able select which stories all individual elements would display on, exactly like the grid tool works. Simply being able to select all stories up, or all relevant stories isn't flexible enough and I waste so much time trying to get things to display as I need them to in plan view.

This subject was on a wish list from 2003, it seems like a no brainer to me. Pic attached of the grid tool storey customisation settings. Imagine if you could do this for everything! Sigh....
