Optional Rebuild of Section Window

Like the 3D window. An oldie.

Still the biggest time sink in AC. The better your model, the worse it gets.

Of course, when they fix it, I'll have a lot less time to read ACTalk.

This is key for me, and not just because of the time issue, which faster hardware might eliminate over time.

Manual rebuild would also allow the layer combo and display option to be different for each section window while still providing the opportunity to work in each. Thus my related wish that, like the 3D window, section windows could retain their zoom setting through a rebuild.

I crave the power to hop between windows, say plan and section, while both remain zoomed, taking measurements and making adjustments in each, rebuilding only when I choose. I know Djordje will ague to do it all in the 3D window, but it's often preferable to work in section. Thus there are many reasons to campaign for these, and other, improvements to the section environment. Please check out the recent thread http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=558.
