For those of us that open a lot of files but also have a couple of files that we consistently open it would be really helpful to be able to pin regular files to the starter and to the open recent file list.
Currently, the files I open regularly (our template files in this case) often drop off the bottom of the list, or at the very least are buried part way down. I would be great to always have them at the top.

On Windows you can pin a file to your task bar.
First pin the Archicad program and then drag the file to pin the file to that program.
Another thing you can do is to save you file as a template (TPL) file.
Then it will be in the template list when you choose FILE > NEW.
