Pointcloud import mechanisms to ArchiCAD, if not GS then API

Hi!
It seems that in countries taking BIM to larger scale use, the property owners invest to inventory laserscanning (which is already a routine in engineering areas, such as plant design).

Why is this for SketchUP, ACA, Revit, not ArchiCAD?
Somebody please make a solution for importing and handling scan data!

Absolutely agree!

Ideally even an interpreter that eases the task of converting dumb surface polygons into boolean sculpted walls, roofs etc

Now that Revit and Microstation can import and use point-cloud data and laser scanning is being offered by corner-shop surveyors ArchiCAD NEEDS this functionality.

I have just had to ask a surveyor to use his Revit to create a model I can read from an IFC file! (Humbling if not downright humiliating).
