This wish is in two parts:
1. Publish 3D views as 3D PDF (U3D) files for creating 3D sketch drawings in Acrobat Professional. The 3D models can be rotated in Adobe Viewer and views can be defined and annotated in Acrobat. This seems like a terrific way to be able to respond to RFIs.
2. Place the U3D views onto layouts so that PDFs of the drawing set can contain interactive 3D views (and the 3D SKs, above, could be produced in the layout set rather than Acrobat). It may be too much to ask for all the cool Acrobat Pro functions here (though it would be great), but those could be added with post processing in Acrobat.
Besides 3D annotations in ArchiCAD (another wish) these would make some substantial progress toward making the building model good for more than making pretty pictures and 2D drawings and move us in the direction of establishing standards for true 3D/Building Model as construction documentation.
