Having just upgraded to a Windows XP 2.8 Ghz with GEForce FX 5700 the OpenGL performance with textures is blisteringly fast. Now I can take fast tours with it and thought it would be usefull to be able to record the walkthrough as an animation path and then be able to replay it both within Archicad and exported as an animation.

Also, is it possible to replay animations in OpenGL?

Maurice,

Yes - it would be nice to be able to define a 'walk-through' path and then have the camera (in the 3d window) follow this on command. One for the wish list??

No - an animation is a series of (often compressed) still images. OpenGL is a graphic card-based way of quickly rendering a 3d environment. Note that transparent materials aren't.

We always were able to do this ...

In Generate Walkthrough dialog box, set all the parameters and click on Show instead of Save.

OpenGL does wonders, speed wise.

If you want to save the OpenGL animation AS OpenGL no, not possible AFAIK but you can use the 3D window under OpenGL as a source for your AVI or QuickTime movie.
