During project development there can be significant changes which mean it is sometimes easier to rebuild a detail from the source view. Unfortunately the associative labels become useless after a rebuild as they can no longer report the original data even though only part of the drawing will have changed. This means relabelling everything from scratch.
I use associative labelling to report IDs and description of building materials which tie in with my specification. If we could just have the reverse of "Make label independent" I for one would be very happy.
