Another benefit of scheduling labels is the ability to run calculations within the label object. Since the IS cannot (currently) do anything with the values it spits out (other than summing columns) calcs could be performed in the label script then reported in the IS.

3. I am still pushing for the ability to schedule LABEL OBJECTS... I see this [still, for the past 5years] as an IDEAL way to provide more "buckets" for information to stuffed into the BIM file. If GS can see the benefit of scheduling object components, then please don't leave out LABELS.

After all these years, I cannot believe we still cannot schedule labels. Sometimes we need to add information about an aspect of the building that does not have a 3D counterpart, such as standing seam roofs shall all have snowguards of X or Y brand attached the seams. We may or may not model the guards, but the keynote and the detailed text needs to be there. JM developed a shape label and we added text parameters for the descriptive text and Spec # reference, but since labels won't schedule, we have to find a longhand way to write this stuff out. I am wondering if anyone has hacked a revision tags workflow to provide the functionality of keynotes?
