Simple calculator capabilities for dimensions & coordina

Wouldn't it be great if we could enter dimensions and coordinates in a way similar to a cell in spreadsheets?
For example, when entering the height of a wall, we could type '2.53+6*.125' and AC understands we want a wall that is 3.28 tall.

Type 'X' '1000' 'X' 'X' '500' '+' ...
... and you will get 1500

'-' works as well. Yippee ?!?!

Yes, you can, but only additions and subtractions, not multiplications and divisions (I don't think SQRs and '^s' are essential, though it wouldn't hurt), and only in the coordinates, not the dimensions. And with great difficulty, as you told.

Well, the original wish is not quite the same, but the subsequent discussions seemed to outline exactly what I am wishing here, i.e., calculator capabilities within fields. So let's give our votes to the older topic.
