Once the query kicks back with our info, lets just say,You can do many of these things today (and in 9 and 8.1)...see the attached screenshot. The criteria are reasonably powerful, but as you note, we do not have access to all fields of all elements (or of other data - such as attributes)...so we can interact with the fills, layer, materials, but not the pens for slabs.
all the 25cm concrete slabs under the FF -
we can pick ANY attribute of the objects retrieved and
CHANGE IT - composite fill, cover fill on/off, layer, pens etc.
