Texturing like bodypaint

Anonymous
Not applicable
In archicad if we cant a surface (wall roof slab...) to be textured non uniformly, we have to devide the model in regions of uniform textured surfaces. In some cases this is very difficult, especially in walls, when patters maybe of irregular shapes.

Now the suggestion.

It would be nice to actually SEE the U-V tiling (and of course edit it) and then simply paint it. What i mean by paint? Select one or many u-v "squares" and assign them a material.

For most of the planar objects (walls slabs ) that would be very very easy.
And texturing, which is actually a very significant part in architectural visualisation would be vastly improved

I have voted with you, as unlikely as it is to ever be granted, but you are, I hope, aware of the ability in LightWorks to size masks separately from the size of the underlying pattern?

I've attached a rudimentary grime exercise where a drawn grime pattern rests on a texturemap at a separate size.

A mere shadow of what you ask for, but a big step toward more surface variety.
