To Graphisoft - Suggestions to improve Launch Site

Nader Belal

These are the issues that I believe Graphisoft must improve to it's launch site, to make it viable for the next event ...

  1. The streaming must improve, a lot of us have suffered many issues and I can't mention all.
  2. The idea of chopping up the event in mini-streams was disastrous, we didn't knew if the cuts we saw were because of the stream was changing from one part to another, or because of other reasons (check point number 1).
  3. The launch stream must always have a priority, for example, I did like that my stream to get cut because a member sent me a video call.
  4. The profile page can't be edited freely if the user wanted to.
  5. I believe that some users had difficulty in filling their profile page with the address of their other profiles on other social network such as LinkedIn.
  6. I would like to add to make it clearer for users to choose their preferred pronoun. Beside of the personal preferences, we are an international community, but we do not know how to address a person solely on their names.
  7. The normal chat page, should be able to adapt and work perfectly even if the monitor had a vertical orientation, for instance, I can not list/see all the messages I have sent to the different members on my vertically oriented monitor, but on my horizontally oriented monitor, I can go as far as to my first message I have sent.
  8. When I click on link, I would like to be able to use "Open Link in a New Tab" on every one, not doing that is worsening user experience and time wasting.
  9. There is no option to see all received alerts in one page.
  10. If I have an open chat with a member in one window, and have another chat with another member marked in another window, I don't want to see what I have marked have gone. Searching for that chat because the order of sent message only follows "Last In, First Out" is a time wasting procedure.
  11. Sometime the chat window have messed up the order of the messages I have sent to a member, ie: Last message was sent first, were first message was sent last.

It seems there is a special event scheduled on Monday for this site.

But why does it even need to be that complicated? GS just need to bring news relevant to the audience offering reassurance about improvements (not hi tech IT jargon) & show us with live action demos what is new & how things are better in the upgrade, and just like the community webinar have a simple chat stream to allow viewers to raise point for a Q&A.

Apple iMac Intel i9 / macOS Sonoma / AC27UKI (most recent builds.. if they work)

They are more reactive than proactive. Leading is managing and managing is anticipating the future!

Or even better, just stop with that show. A new features list and a bunch of técnical demos on YouTube and i'm happy...

Thank you Nader for sharing a very structured feedback on our event/launch site. We invested quite a lot of time and effort to find a solid event platform that provides the right experience for our launch communications, but we clearly failed to deliver to expectations. Internally we draw very similar conclusions, but will make sure to relay the detailed feedback to the right colleagues within Graphisoft, who are shaping our next event experience.
