It would be super handy to be able to unlock a layer, reserve an object or both, while in the Selection Settings dialog box.
(It is so frustrating to make a series of edits and adjustments to an object and then have cancel as the only option!)
If not, then maybe a pop-up that alerts the user to unlock the layer or to reserve the object before proceeding.
