Window and Door Lintel in Sections

Hello all together,

I almost presume that this topic was mentioned here already (If not, I wonder why) I could find this, that touches it. But my point is not to get a structure element there in but it is about the basic (true) display.

… so I post this.

section

When do we geht a version that displays wall closure also for the lintel?

Hi All,

Thank you very much for sharing your opinions regarding the wish!

I am happy to say we took notice of this wish and I have added it to our Wish List database (please refer to it as IDEA-1410). Hopefully, our Product Management team will adopt this one in the future.

Thank you all once more, and I wish you a great day!

Best regards,
Minh

Would you mind elaborating on how you use the Shell tool in this context?

With all due respect, Minh, the wish list has been jam packed with very good ideas for years now, most of which haven't seen the light of day as of yet. I understand there are lots and lots of things to improve, but how is it then that giant architecture companies manage to develop their own plugins to fix these issues, but Graphisoft can't? It seems to me this is just a marketing strategy which would be most infuriating. As a user of Archicad for the past decade, I couldn't help but take note that Vectorworks, not to mention Revit, figured a lot of these things out, and are still working on newer and newer developments.

This way, I'm pretty sure that the relatively generous market share that Graphisoft has in the present will slowly but surely crumble.

Yeah, BIM & interoperability, green energy focus, bla bla bla. We don't have lintels! We don't have doors and windows skin return in sections. Come on.

Sorry everyone, forgot about this question.

I can't help you with the OOTB door and window objects but...

We have it working our Archicad door and window tool Infinite Openings. It does the plaster returns, wall closure, and also has a dedicated flexible lintel component. This tool is constantly being enhanced to include new components and details.

This is awesome! Do you guys offer educational versions? Would love to use this but the price is quite steep for architecture students.
