Workspace management

The biggest problem in AC % usability at the present time is the "proliferation" of toolbox, pet palettes, information windows, control boxes, etc...

Archicad should provide a customizable workspace that :
1. can be saved and restored easily
2. can be shared between computers
3. that will manage dual screen and different screen resolution
4. that allow docking all the toolboxes
5. that can be imported from version to version
6. that would be easily switchable depending on the type of work to do...

GS should steel someone from Nemetschek. VectorWorks has had this for years.

Even without an exchangeable format, it's inexcusable that AC cannot remember your settings after a relaunch. Palettes are closed, certain preferences are reset, the maximize button doesn't even work right, at least on Mac. This is basic stuff. They should be embarrassed.

Pallette control in Archicad is a mess.
1) no way to maximise or minimise.
2) all odd shapes and dont fit together
3) too many of them.

Programs like photoshop handle pallettes by allowing them to nest together

For a fun idea when "windows" starts using transparency (next latest and greatest) - since OSX already does, maybe Pallettes could be semi transparent and become more opaque with a mouse over.
