complex profile_trace options

While drawing a complex profile it would be quite useful to have a possibility to trace a section (or plan view)

You can simply copy paste any object from plan section or elevation in complex profile draw window, which later can be used as per your wish. I think this will help you to get your required end results bit faster.

Never thought of that, but that's a good idea! I've always copy-pasted things in profile manager and deleted those afterwards.

Cannot agree more, it is an essential wish.
Also. if one selects an existing profile or element to turn into a complex profile in a view that cuts the element perpendicularly (i.e. wall in section or column in plan) then default behaviour should be to open profile manager with that view as a trace.

This wish is really long overdue.

From Archicad 8.5 all the way to the present.
