<Revision ID> as a parameter

Gerald D Lock

I'd like to see a Layout Book parameter added in the next release called
"Revision ID"

As we all know, drawings get issued with a sequential revision ID (numbers or letters, depending on your office protocols)
This ID is unique to the Layout, as some drawings may not be changed in a particular revision issue.

This parameter could then be used for the following functions:
- Autotext (for adding to titleblock masters)
- Layout titles (so that it's clear what revision the layout is, from the Layout Book tree, as well as when viewing the layout itself)
- Filename (ID would be appended to filename when publishing from Layout Book)
- Interactive Schedule (added as a column to the layout Index schedule, this would allow this information to be shown on the drawing set cover page)

I hope you all agree - this is an ESSENTIAL feature that has been missing for a long time and needs adding ASAP

Thanks for reading & giving your consideration & support to this wish!

Dear GS - this simple request has been asked for years - for a few releases now.
A minor bit of coding on your part would go along way to assisting in documentation process - it is still unbelievable that there is no way of managing Revisions in ArchiCAD! (v17 and counting!)

I'm guessing you might like the new Revision Management in 18.
