view update in background

I wish that when you click on a tab to open a view you don't have to wait it to regenerate the view before clicking on another tab ... I expect the view update is done in background ...
this would speed up a lot the workflow ...

From Archicad 19 there is background updating but there are things that will prevent it from happening.

Thanks Barry! It has been very helpful.
Now I understand why 3D view update is not in background. That's because I use 3D Text and some other objects (parkings, etc) which are not compatible with background processes ...

... anyway ... It would be very helpful a message from AC when you insert such as objects ... something like "If you use this object you will not lose background processes advantages!" ... and it would be much more helpful if GS adjusted them to be compatible!
