Ability to Change Story Levels Without Moving the Elements

Damijan G
Booster

Please add the ability to adjust Story Levels subsequently later during design process with keeping the elements linked or associated with in their present relative positions. Reasons: tidying up the project, better control of Floor Plan Cut Line setting which i.e. cannot be set negative, so in the case of a misplaced Story Level (too high) one can only change the design by manually moving all the linked elements back to their modelled place, which can be tedious and error prone work also in smaller projects.

Thank you for your great work!

what you describe would be our main reason for this wish to be implemented too.  We try to define our levels as much as possible un the conceptual stage, but there is always the possibility they have to be adjusted in later stages. If it happens in later stages it becomes a total pain, especially if You also have to adjust already annotated views.

for that reason, I would suggest pairing this wish with 2 other already existing wishes, which would become a rear-kicking combo and would make archicad much more powerful:

A) the ability to add levels without generating floor plan levels (useful for structural references or split levels for example).

B) our proposed revamped dimensioning tool, which would allow for any change in the model (erasing, editing, hiding, moving levels, scales, etc)  while keeping consistency, so You dont have to worry about adjusting already anotated views, because the dimensions becomes "view dependant" instead of "click dependant".
