Fix Top-View of inclined Wall-Connections

snow
Rockstar

Hello together,

the option t tilt wall is already long time onboard...

Just I realized that the top-view of connection with vertical walls is wrong.

In 3D everything o.k.:

... but in the floor plan, we get this:

So please could you fix that, this way:

I think what snow is talking about is the case when the top of the Walls are below the Floor Plan Cut Plane (not cut and overhead parts of the Wall). One such case is when the top of the Wall is at 1000 mm, and the Floor Plan Cut Plane is at 1100 mm. In that case, the generated "top view" of those Walls is not correct.

That is it.

I have no solution for that except for adjusting the FPCP height.

I would say bug - the tops of the walls should still connect.

I can see no logic that they don't except that as there is no cut with the FPCP, it is showing the base only of the non inclined walls.

I know the floor plan is 'symbolic' (not a true 3D top view) but you would think it still would show the tops of the walls.

Creating a 3D Document from the floor plan shows it correctly (that is a true 3D top down view.

Because I had none, I posted this topic here in the wishes area.

This kind of view is a basic ingredient of a 'floor' plan. Sometimes one have to set the FCPC height with intention on a level to get top views of certain building parts.

Yeah, I would say Archicad works still "too symbolic" with walls in floor plans...
.. and I hope this will change soon 🙂
