I have been trying to build a fixed ladder using the stair tool. This one in particular:
I didn't think it should have been that difficult - once I turned off rules. Except that some rules still seem to be controlling the stair behaviour, and I don't seem to be able to turn these off.
This is the closest I can get:
And these are my settings:
Whatever I do, I can't get the stair angle to match the 75degree pitch of the commercial item, which is shown by comparison to the beam adjacent.
Am I doing something wrong, or is there some kind of constraint that I can't turn off?
It would seem reasonable to be able to turn off the constraints to allow us to build ladders, but either I'm missing something, or it's not possible. Does anyone have any ideas, or is this another one for the wishlist?

There seems to be a built in minimum length for a tread of 100mm.
I don't know anyway to reduce this.
You should have some ladder objects in the library - I'm not sure if any of those are adaptable to what you want.
Barry.

Same results I had, I'm glad my investigation seems to have been thorough.
The inbuilt ones aren't quite what I need.
Looks like another addition to the wishlist.
Thanks a lot for checking it out for me!
Interestingly, I don't have the ladder frame shelf in my UK library...
