Library Part Parameters dialogue box

rm
Advisor
GS,

Too many library part Parameter settings cannot be read because the text for the parameter setting is longer than can be viewed in the view port for the Parameters box.

You need to design the Parameter view port so it can Wrap Text or make the view port wider so the entire parameter can actually be read.

This has been a problem in the US Mac version forever. It is ridiculous having to try to guess what the entire parameter text states.

See the attached image. "Rough Opening Ext.....0" is listed four times, and one cannot tell what the rest of the words are, top, bottom, left, right....who knows until you change them. This is a waste of time

Please fix this!

Thank You!

I fully agree with this request.

May be it is more a "Mac" problem because fonts display larger on this platform,
however, i think the place allowed for text is too small in general.

The interface needs a small relooking.
If the place is so much expensive, i should first delete the L shape on the left side of the text.
I don't see any interest for this feature, which came with 8. Anyone understands that these params refer to a pop up menu.
This could save three characters space.

According to the interface width, the parameters panel is actually about 3 / 5.
It could be 3 / 4, easily, and in the last 1 / 4, i feel it is width enough to place the rotation and flip symbols.

Of course, one can enlarge the window, but one more click... not interesting.
Please GS, can you add this to the whishlist.

For those who don't know, the right side of the dialog box can be resized. When both sides are visible, resizing the dialog box changes only the size of the left side of the dialog box. To resize the right side: click on the small arrow that is in the middle of the dialog box at the top (this closes the left side), resize the dialog box to get the width you want for the right side, then click this same arrow again to get the entire dialog box back. Now go to the Work Environment to save your Palette Scheme. I have no idea if this is covered in the manual, I found it by trial & error.

Hope this helps.

Good tip for library parts, but resizing trick does not work for Attributes manager dialog - contributing to severe and repeated data loss every time attempting to transfer & overwrite (i.e update) multiple materials etc definitions between nested modules

Please Graphisoft, fix this urgently!!!

Resizing dialog boxes after hiding the left panel causes graphical interface error under AC10 WINXP. I hope this bug will be corrected once...
