Unlock/Unhide Layer From Tool Settings

I would like the ability to choose a locked or hidden after selecting a tool without having to exit the tool settings, opening the layers dialog box, and re-entering the tool settings. You could simply click the closed eyeball to choose and open a hidden layer directly. Ditto for a locked layer.

Despite it will make layer combo changes a custom case until i draw some elements related to that hidden/locked layer then i retrieve layer combo from quick options bar.

The direct feedback of the design option palette gives a glimpse of how much smoother layers could be. Quite frustrating that the functionality wasn’t put to full use but limited to a narrow workflow. But hey - layer and tool palettes are in the idea pool of the official roadmap so maybe we will have it in AC 30 !
