New Interactive Schedule Type: List of Used Attributes (Fills, Pens, Surfaces, etc.)

Archicad’s Interactive Schedules are incredibly powerful for listing and managing model elements, but currently, there is no way to generate a schedule of used attributes — such as Fills, Pens, Line Types, Surfaces, Building Materials, or Composites — within a project.

This wishlist proposes the addition of a new Interactive Schedule type specifically designed to list and audit all attributes currently used in the model.

Proposed Features:

  • A new “Attribute Usage Schedule” or similar type available in the Schedule settings.

  • Ability to list and filter used:

    • Fills

    • Pens

    • Line Types

    • Surfaces

    • Building Materials

    • Composites

    • Profiles

    • Zones Categories

  • Include counts for how many times each attribute is used (e.g. “Surface: White Paint – used 152 times”).

  • Ability to click and select elements using a given attribute (like with other Interactive Schedules).

  • Optional column showing whether an attribute is used in the model, in views/layouts, or unused (ideal for cleanup).

  • Export capability for BIM auditing or standards checks.

Why This Is Valuable:

  • Project Cleanup: Helps identify unused or redundant attributes that can be safely deleted, keeping the file lightweight and organized.

  • Auditing & QA: Makes it easier to ensure that office standards are followed — for example, that only approved surfaces or pens are used.

  • Attribute Management: Gives BIM Managers and team leads more control and visibility over how attributes are being applied throughout the model.

  • Efficiency Boost: Avoids the need for tedious manual checks or reliance on third-party attribute managers just to answer the question, “Is this fill/surface/pen still in use?”

This type of schedule would empower users to treat attributes like first-class data in the model — something that can be queried, scheduled, reviewed, and controlled, just like any other project element.

Are you aware that you can see all used attributes in the Attribute Manager already?

And if you need to you can select them and print to a text file that is tabulated so you can open it as a spreadsheet.

Yes, I'm aware. But I think it would be a nicer implementation to have interactive schedules with previews etc.
