Nathan is a passionate Architect that is driven to create sustainable high-quality Architectural solutions. This is achieved by working closely with his clients and a focus on delivering the best outcomes, whilst enjoying the journey. He understands that every client has different needs, and he can adjust his service and focus to align with client requirements. Nathan has a strong understanding of the different ways people understand design and successfully uses different technologies to enable clear communication. He uses different mediums including plans, elevations, sections, photorealistic perspectives, virtual fly-throughs, and virtual reality with stakeholders to communicate the design. Throughout his 18-year career in the Architectural profession, Nathan has worked on a diverse range of projects including residential, multi-residential, sport and recreation, education, aged care, retirement living, and public and civic buildings. His skills in project management and delivery have seen Nathan continue to work with clients on multiple projects for over a decade. He has been part of a team that successfully won numerous Architectural Awards for multiple projects over the last 10 years. Apart from design, Nathan is highly skilled in managing project budgets and programs. He focuses on delivering well-designed projects, working with client budgets, and delivering them on time. Nathan is also a globally recognised BIM subject matter expert and is acknowledged as being one of the few people that understands how to apply BIM to enable great outcomes for organizations on projects. His solid background in delivering building projects, particularly for institutional clients gives him an organizational perspective on the application of BIM technology. He is skilled in understanding technologies and how they can be applied in business to improve effectiveness and efficiencies for day-to-day operations. His interest in improving the industry has seen him contribute through his involvement in numerous industry groups. His rare combination of technical and leadership skills has led to his role in developing an industry-leading Archicad BIM template, launching an Archicad user event, being Director of buildingSMART Australasia, and chair roles at BrisBIM and the ACA QLD | NT / AIA QLD BIM Taskforce. He also contributes to the industry as a committee member of BILT ANZ. A testament to the level of respect he has in the industry is the number of guests that have donated time to be guests on his BIM podcast, ‘The Digital Transition’
