3d model DWG export with instanced blocks?

Hello.

I'm not a user of archicad but I'm receiving 3d model (not 2d) export from it.

Unfortunately the client is not able to export instanced blocks of objects like chair, tables, luminaries etc.
Each chair is a distinct block instance and I can't event change the base block because the insertion point is not relative to the object itself. Every insertion is placed on 0,0 world coordinates.

Is it possible to export this objects as instanced blocks to dwg? Any other format?
I need to import to 3dstudio.

Thanks

Hi,

I don't think it is possible, but I haven't really looked that deep into it (most of the times people only export 2D content to DWGs).

But, if you need to use the model in 3DS Max, then it just seems like an unnecessary step. You can directly export to 3DS format from ARCHICAD with this add-on. That article has links to a user manual and the download page as well.
