Custom text lintel schedule ordering

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hello,

I am just typing up a schedule for lintels using custom text fields.

However I cannot figure out how to order the text correctly by the lintel numbers L1-L14.

The list gets ordered however it goes L1, L10, L11, L12, L13, L14, L2, L3 ect..

Its like its only taking the L1 part and ordering it on that and not accounting for the two digits.

Would I have to use L01 ect to do it this way, id much prefer to keep the same formatting as I am using currently.

Thanks.

Yes you will have to use 'L01'.
If you are adding the ID manually you might also get away with 'L_1' - 'L11' etc.
You would have to try it to see if it works.
Don't use just a space 'L 1' as it is easily missed when you edit the ID.

This is a common problem in Scheduling or even just numbering in general in computer land. You need to come to terms with using leading zeros if you wish to maintain order in the Schedule e.g. L-001
Apple iMac Intel i9 / macOS Sonoma / AC27UKI (most recent builds.. if they work)
