DXF Problem (From AC to 3d's Max)

I'm trying to export my model to 3d's Max by using the dxf format.
Until now i found the way to export my model while
windows, doors, walls etc. are separated from each
other but every wall gets his own mesh.
What i mean is that if there are 50 walls in my model...
then I'll get 50 different Meshes in 3d's Max.

Is there a way to export DXF from AC where all the walls
are coming in one mesh (same for windows, doors etc.)?

Very important :
I know that I can do it by exporting my model into obj format
or even 3ds format but It prefer it on DXF.

Thanks for all who can help..

I haven't tried exporting as a DXF format for 3D Max. Might have to try that. At our office we have been working on large island projects and have been exporting as 3DS. Is there a reason to why you do not do it as a 3DS? We did have one problem once we brought it in where the model was running very slowly but we switched the 3D window to OpenGL, in max, and it was running great.
