Export to autocad (dwg) - specific queries

Not applicable
Has anyone (successfully) addressed the following in the process of
exporting archicad drawings to autocad:

1) Exporting colours as "BYLAYER" so that when opened in autocad, colours
adopt template layer colours (which is office standard protocol).
This is generally ok, except for dimensions; as office uses customised block for dimensions which are specific colours, and not BYLAYER.
My current solution is to export using pen colour translator, then opening dwg and changing all elements pen colour (except dimensions) to BYLAYER.
Any alternatives?

2) Overlapping linework/pen colours
Exporting to dwg results in multiple lines overlapping each other; i.e. slab edge/wall edhe line/tiling lines/door sill etc., often resulting in 5 or more lines of varing colours/thicknesses in the one location, which could cause headaches in using the file and printing views as required.
Is there any way to tell archicad to only export or consolidate overlapping elements based on visual/display priority?
