Importing 3D dwg with SE2011

Hi, can anyone please help me with this. I have search for an answer but cant find one.
I am trying to import a dwg file from and architect who uses Autocad.
Every time I try in Archicad with the merge option it only shows lines
If i try to open object, it will say No elements were created.
The dwg is not one big file, it is every losts of smaller dwg's. Could this be it?
If you need more info let me know
Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi Ole,

There is a setting in the dwg translator for the 3d info to be converted. See my post on this thread -

Hope that helps.

Hi Peter,

thank you for your reply!
I had already seen that post, and I actually now downloaded that file and it works to load in my archicad.
The difference seems to be that the file in that post is one big file, while the file I have is lots of smaller files, and only comes up as lines. Maybe those dwgs I have a exported from a layout view? Could that be right?
Any input would be appreciated.
Thank you!
