Save from the 3D Window to either DWG, DXF, 3DS and Import in SketchUP.

So you can't save directly to .skp extension, correct?
Thanks,

You can also download the sketchup addon if you want but since I am on Mac and it is not available for us I don't use it. Check under Help for either add-ons or goodies.

Thanks for the help. I see it checked in my add-on manager but I'm not sure how to "activate it" I tried to go to a 3D window and saveas but I still don't get a .skp option to save it out as. It says it's a "tool" kind of add-on and I don't know it thats means anything as to how to "Activate it". Thanks for your help though!

AFAIK, the SketchUp add-on doesn't allow you to Save As a SKP file. We usually Save As a DWG from the 3D window as Eduardo recommended.

THanks for all your help, I found a way around it. I upload it to google 3D Warehouse out of a 3D window. It works great! You can then download it as a sketchup file.
Thanks,
Michele
