Archicad 25 and GSID

I'm curious how everyone is authenticating Archicad 25 in an office environment.
I understand that every installation needs to be authenticated but I don't see the sense in registering a GSID for each user (20) and I don't want to use my ID since everyone could then access my details and services, regardless of the sensitivity. I'm thinking of registering a new account with a password known to all. I could then enter the company name in the details but of course anyone could change this.
Your thoughts.

It's not a matter of licensing, we have updated hardware keys. It's about program authentication.

I keep my HW key in my monitor's USB hub. Sometimes, i have to take my laptop on the field. Sometimes, i forget the damn key, like today. Is there any way i can benefit from this somehow, to be able to run AC for a few hours/month without a HW key plugged in?

You can no longer just plug a key in and go? Not using AC25... Or are you talking about a hardware multikey plugged into a server? In which case, the Codemeter driver does not find your server?

Only for a limited time (I'm not sure exactly how long that is).
From 25, you will now be asked to sign in with your Graphisoft ID the first time you use it.
If you don't have a Graphisoft ID, you can create one.

If you don't sign in, it will run, but there will be a grace period.
When that expires you are stuck in demo mode until you then sign in with Graphisoft ID.

Well, before you go make create a shared user, does this affect the Modified By, etc and teamwork user info? ie. Instead of pulling the computer user, it uses the GSID instead.

Ling.

ps. Wonder if this new req is part of the GS resell and sharing stance...

Dear All,

Thank you very much for the questions and I am very sorry for the misunderstanding with this new function.

First, let me clarify it by saying: authentication Archicad with Graphisoft ID does not modify your licensing. This new authentication process is introduced with Archicad 25 to give you more personalized experience. The process is explained here.

To prepare for this new process, we have created a new FAQ document. This article will answer most of your questions regarding Graphisoft ID.

If there is anything unclear or if you have any questions, feel free to ask me!

Best regards,
Minh

What, if I don't want the "easy way" GS request from me?

Here ist written "free" https://helpcenter.graphisoft.com/knowledgebase/136555/
3rd. sentence.

Please do explain how I can decide "free" to accept your "offer"!

I find the creation of a remote "kill switch" very troubling. If I am getting this right you need to sign with an ID or AC will stop working within 30 days even if your licenses are all up to date.
What happens if by some chance AC fails to connect to the server to validate?
For example; after hurricane María my office was offline for almost 3 months.
