My custom fill is showing up black

For some reason when I create a new pattern, my fill shows up black.

For example, this is supposed to be a 12x24 tile pattern. (this happens with my more complicated patterns as well)

  • I drew the pattern with lines in 2D
  • Copied it

    It looks normal here but when I hit ok, and draw my new fill it's all black. Not sure what I'm doing wrong here.

I would appreciate your help! Thank you!

@kerbz Your highlighted pattern should be a single rectangle formed from 12" x 24" lines. (Your units are reporting in feet?). If you have used a fill then that will be used as the foreground rather than just the rectangular lines. When placing the fill check the foreground & background colours and also check they aren't changed by using a different pen set e.g. a blue background in one pen set may be black in others. Try placing the fill with a transparent background pen.

@kerbz , I think it’s a graphic override rule for cover fill.

How do you override that?
