Help, I am working on a 2d detail and it went dead??
I can't grab or select anything in the drawing with the arrow or marque tool. or for that matter any tool.
seems I was about to set a marque so as to stretch an element in the drawing when this problem happened....did I inadvertently activate some function?
any thoughts would be much appreciated...
my only thought at the moment is to delete the detail and start over, but would prefer not to....
thanks!
ps this is my first post so I hope I have submitted it correctly......

Is there a little black dot that jumps around closely following your cursor?
My guess is that you have activated the grid snap.
The keyboard shortcut is by default .... s
Press "s" again and then see if you can select.
Barry.

Barry,
Thanks- I think you are correct. I do remember the floating dot and the cursor getting "stuck there"
my fix was to copy and paste the detail info into a new independent detail that I relinked to my original detail marker- I think this is working so far.
It is interesting that this "grid activation" was only in that specific detail and all other details / drawing views it was not active......
Thanks again!

newbie to AC13, I have yet to install AC 14 as I am in the midst of finishing up my first set of documents with AC13.......

I think there may be a "bug" in that when opening certain views the grid snap activates.
I don't use the detail tool but have noticed it when opening schedule images to annotate them.
