Auto-rebuild Model and Drawing

I like how I can edit the lines and fills on my detail. I see that it's called a 'Drawing' in the project map as opposed to the elevations and sections being called 'Auto-rebuild Model'.

Now, I would like to make modifications to my 3D Document, in the same way I can with detail, for instance, offsetting an edge. I would like to create something like this:

Can you guys tell me how to convert a model view into a drawing? If I make any modification to my 3D Document now it affects the actual building model.

1. Select all objects in the View
2. Edit -> Copy (Commad+C)
3. Edit -> Paste (Commad+V) and move to the side

The result are lines and fills.

Don't forget to use "Consolidate Lines and Fills" to clean up the drawing.

Wow thanks, I didn't know about the line consolidate feature before. I pasted the drawing on a work sheet instead just so that I don't get two drawing on the same view.
