Documentation, shadows

HI, I'm relatively new to archicad but I have had some experience working with it in my part 1 Archi Assistant job, heading back to uni next year and I want to be able to create a view that only has the shadows showing in 3d to export just the shadows to use in photoshop for a documentation, would also be good to know how to do it in 2d too, any advise on how to set up the view setting or anything would be great!

You can't see just the shadows in 3D, as you need the elements to be there to cast/receive the shadows.

However in your 3D view, you can set it to use the 'Vectorial' engine (in 3Dstyles settings).

Arrange the view as you want to observe the shadows and then place a 2D marquee.

When you 'Copy' you will see a dialogue where you can choose to copy just the shadows.

Barry.
