I have seen a lot of criteria but how are they then used?

E.g. Like fill or suface or width

Not sure what to expect but nothing came ip when I renamed my doors

If you are just trying to reset the element ID then maybe this will help?

No Barry. I had seen that post.

I was wondering  whether the fact that you can select all this criterias could be of any use. Bur if you for example select width then on the second tab  should give you the option with it too.

I have never really used it but I was just experimenting.

If you set it to 'Set same ID by Criteria, then you choose the criteria on the left and add them to the right.

Set the ID format that you want to achieve.

Say you have 6 windows in your plan - 2 are 1200mm wide, 1 is 600mm wide and 3 are 1500mm wide.

If you set the criteria to include the 'width' then the ID's will change.

The 2 x 1200mm windows will have the same ID.

The 600mm window will have a different ID.

And the 3 x 1500m windows will have a different ID again, but they will be the same as each other.

So it is a way of grouping IDs if you want the same IDs for the same items, based in the criteria you choose.

If you want unique IDs for all elements, then simply set it to "Unique ID for Each Element"

This will not consider the criteria that you have set.

@Sandramuller I use this frequently. One extra tip for you... If you pick say your doors individually in the order you want them numbered, then the applied unique ID will follow the selection order.
