Line spacing in text elements

Tobias W Student

Hello Everyone,

im trying to match my layouts in Archicad and Indesign and I was wondering what method Archicad uses to calculate the Line Spacing in text elements. The value is specified as a percentage in the options menu and is 100% by default. But 100% of what? I know that when I am changing the text size in Archicad I am changing the cap height of the text not the cone height as I am doing in Indesign. Is the Percentage also calculated from the cap height?

My main question is, if I am setting the Text Size for example to 1,5 millimeter what is the amount of Line Spacing in millimeters (or Points / pt) when line spacing is set to 100%?

Thanks for your help in advance.

I am not sure there is any correlation.

Archicad seems to do its own thing when it comes to fonts.

Even now, text is moving within its text box position when copying from version 25 to 26.

So it doesn't seem even Archicad has a standard at the moment.
