I had this issue way back with the stair tool where i had set my preferences for dimensions to ⅛" but the stairs were in 1/32" and was told to go into the setting and description dialogue to change it, but that option is gone in AC24. my windows are now dimensioned in 1/32" while my prefs are still set to ⅛" where do i go to change this?

Can you show a screenshot of where this Stair dimension appears?

Are you looking at a View saved from the Floor Plan?
Is the View using the Dimension Settings you modified or some other Dimension Settings?

it's a saved view, but it's the same in the project map. it's also a custom dimension preference, but it's the same if i go with a stock dimension setting.

heathldesign:

In your screen shot (Project Preferences > Dimensions), select the 6th option from the left (Door, Window and Skylight Dimensions) to set the preference for window dimensions shown with a window marker.
