Modifying zone stamp frame size

ind
Contributor

Hello!

I'm trying to find a way to have the frame width (maybe height, too) depend on a single parameter, it not being the main room (zone) name, which is by default. Preferably I'd use as a width-defining the room number. Unless, I'm missing something very clear (if that's the case, sincere apologies), the only issue raised & solution found is very old: Modifying the Zone Stamp
Is there any way nowadays to make these changes without entering the script world? If not, any help for the script thing would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Did you ever figure this out? I have exactly the same problem.

Hi,

Zone Stamp 02 has an option "Fixed Width" on settings tab "Appearance".

Zone Label has a options "Text Width of..." on settings tab "General Settings".

With zone labels and no scripting, an autotext label is also an option.

Hello!

Thank you for your answer, but first two options define an arbitrary value for the frame width, which in turn can have the long zone names/number to shrink (wrap) within the resulting frame. See attachment as an example of the label parameter.

What I asked was a possibility for the width of the frame to be defined by the text / value it holds, be it short or long, without having to change it manually, or be forced to have a frame depending on the largest element of the stamp.

Try turning off the 'Wrap Text' option in the text style settings.

Hi!

It wasn't active, but having tried both options, it doesn't help... The frame width it's defined by that of the largest text element of the stamp. There should be an option to change it to fit a selected input, or even a fixed width, without affecting the rest of the text field outside of the frame.

OP/ind, is the attached clip an example of what you're seeking?

Hi.

Seemingly yes, if the frame shrinks / expands automatically and it's not a fixed value....
