I find that I build a model and everything is fine but as the complexity grows it seems there is a 'breaking point' and then I can't get rid of these triangular shadows everywhere...

I have not seen this happen with shadows.
I would...
Check video drivers are up to date.
Check how much free RAM yo have.
Check how much free space you have on your local hard drive.
And make sure Archicad is up to date.
Barry.

Hello,
Thank you very much for the question! It's an interesting one!
Am I correct to assume that the shadow was broken in OpenGL 3D view and not in PhotoRendering mode with Cinerender? I haven't seen it before, so it would be great if we can have the file for further investigation!
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Best regards,
Minh
