I didn't realise you were trying to use the educational version.
That shouldn't be using any Codemeter or Wibukey drivers at all.
You could try removing (uninstalling) those.
I don't know a lot about the EDU version as I don't use it.
But when you install one of the first dialogues should be asking if you have a serial number or hardware key.
Obviously you want the serial number which sounds like what you have already done.
I sure I read in another post somewhere that someone was using the same EDU serial number they got for 17 and it was working in 18.
So it should be working.
If you have a file you have already saved in 17 try just double clicking it to open it.
This should open in 18 as it was the last version installed and should trigger the EDU licence as all EDU files will make even the professional license and EDU one when opened.
Otherwise someone else that uses the EDU version may have some ideas.
