ArchiCAD 7.0 Compatible with current 2.8GHz Intel Core iMac?

I know I'm old-fashioned, but I'm using 7.0

Does anyone know whether the current iMac with a 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Extreme cpu running OSX 10.5 will run A'CAD 7.0?

Thanks,

Rob

I've used AC7 on a MacBook Pro 2.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 10.5.1, but not extensively. Seemed OK for everything I tried.

I guess, since 7.0 is not written for the Intel chip, the Rosetta emulation is providing the environment for 7.0 to run in, and well?

Yes, it's running under Rosetta. Performance seems OK, but I do very little with AC7 now.

I have it installed, just to be able to open and convert even older projects. That works, and very fast. I haven't tried it for design work in this environment. I wouldn't. You are really missing something if you don't upgrade. Try the 30-day fully enabled demo of AC11 for yourself!
