It's been a long time, but as I recall the best thing is to use plotflow through the serial port (requires an older Mac) of the plot server.
The bad news is that the CADJet2 is a pain in the neck (as I recall) and worse it doesn't support HPRTL in its HPGL2 implementation. This means it can't print bitmaps and it might not be able to print the solid fill or fill backgrounds either (I can't remember now about the fills).
In any case, the firm I was working with at the time ended up sending it back to their dealer and getting an HP450C which worked like a champ. (Is it still going James?)

I've been using a CADJet2 for 7 years, and it has worked beautifully. My work stations are now G4s with Mac OS Panther, but my server is still an old biege G3 with OS 9.2. The workstations are set up on a ethernet network which download plot files to a spool folder on the G3. The G3 is than connected to the CADJet through its serial port. The CADJet is not a speedster, but it has been a most reliable work horse.

Your setup sounds ideal for getting the most from the CADJet. Are you able to plot scanned or other bitmaps. I could not get this to work and, as I recall, was told by tech support that the plotter could not do it.

Unfortunately the CADJet2 does not plot bitmap or scanned images. I have been able to live without it. If scanned images are needed, I print those out separately and include an 8 1/2 x 11 booklet. With every project I do include 3D hidden line images. These I save as plot files and then place them on the document sheets without any printing problems. I may open the plot files first and spend a few minutes to delete any unwanted lines or change line weights. Anything changed to these files , however, will have to be redone if you need to update the drawing.

What is the software used to send the PLTs to the CADjet2?
I understand the wiring. Now for the software? Is it just Plotflow?
