Error WWWLinks2 & Help2

Hello. Faced the problem that Archicad does not see the WWWLinks2 and Help2 folders. The instructions indicate that if you create such folders in the Archicad root folder and fill them with content (URL / PDF), They will be displayed. But for some reason it does not work for me.

Try restarting Archicad if you have not done so yet.

Hi. It worked. I just didn't restart Archicad. Thanks

We have tried this numerous times and despite restarting Archicad it does not show up.

Copying URL:s into the normal WWWLinks-folder works, but the WWWLinks2 is completely ignored. I have tried on both the INT-version as well as our local SWE-version. No luck...

Has anything changed?

This is curious, I have checked this in the latest AC25 version and it does not work for me either, no new URL shortcuts are added to the Help menu. I remember this used to work. I will report this to Graphisoft.

Thank you, then I will stop tearing out my hair.

It works if you add new URL:s into the existing WWWLinks folder, but you cannot add the WWWLinks2 folder. Have also tried the Documentation vs. Documentation2 and they don't work either.

Hi All,

Thank you very much for the reports!

The correct way to make WWWLinks2 folder work is:

  1. Create the WWWLinks2 folder in the folder structure (if you're using a local version, then the folder's name might be different)
  2. Go to Work Environment settings - Menus. Please sort all commands in alphabetical order. Then on the left pane search for URL2. Add this to the menu structure to the location where it is needed.

The links inside WWWLinks2 folder should appear in the assigned menu. For Document2, please use the command PDF2 instead.

I hope this helps you with the issue. Please let me know if you have any further questions!

Best regards,

Minh

Hi Minh,

Yes, adding the URL2 and PDF2 commands to the menu and restarting Archicad gives me access to the web links in the "WWWLinks2" folder and the PDFs in the "Documentation2" folder.

Thanks, I missed this step.
