Affected version(s): ARCHICAD 22 & 23 | Severity: Workaround Applicable | ID: 265627, 267127
Please note that this only happens if ARCHICAD was installed in a different directory other than the default (/Application/...) before migrating to macOS 10.15 Catalina.
Issue
Uninstalling ARCHICAD ends abruptly with an error, and consequently some files are not deleted.
This issue is due to the new permission restrictions introduced by Apple with macOS 10.15 Catalina. When ARCHICAD was installed in a directory other than the Applications folder on Mojave, and then the Operating System was upgraded to Catalina, the Uninstaller cannot get access to some of the files hence is unable to delete them.
Workaround
If you wish to uninstall ARCHICAD, you can remove the files manually by dragging the ARCHICAD folder to Trash and then Empty Trash to ensure the deletion of the files.
Please note that this will only delete the files within the main folder, but there might be other related files stored on the computer.
For those of you who wish to completely delete ARCHICAD and all related files, drag the files manually to Trash and Empty Trash to ensure their deletion.
