mac screen flicker/blinking

This has been covered on older versions of software and seen fixes mostly for windows, but, after upgrading my iMac 27" 3.2 ghz core i5 with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675M 1024 MB graphics card to Yosemite and using AC v18, my screen will start to flicker or blink when I am doing simple tasks like zooming in or even moving elements. Anyone know how to fix this

This issue plagues ArchiCAD 16 on OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 as well.

I can't see any pattern what operations cause flicker but it appears more often when 1) zoomed and 2) using option-key to copy properties.

I'd be interested to know if anyone experiences less flickering with OS X 10.10.2.

Preliminary reports are maybe encouraging, but its too early to tell.
I have been running 10.10.2 for a few days and there is definitely a change in the flickering. For me it seems to be more subtle than the strobe like effect I had previously.

As of the issuance of the release fixes AC17 built 8000 and OSX Yosemite 10.10.2 flicker still common.

the same on my IMac 27 mid 2011 (not this one with the graphic card problem).

Yosemite 10.10.2

AC 18

Flickering at simple tasks like moving an object or navigate by mouse in the project window. Not always, just every 4-8 steps.

The hole surface of AC ist flickering, also the menu or open palettes.

Hi I'm also having the same issue and it's quite frustrating, I thought it was a problem with my mac graphics card but other people also have the same issue.

Happens mostly doing general ArchiCad work on the floor plan, tends to be if I'm working quite quickly asking the program to do things in quick succession. So impedes progress.

Mine is

NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048 MB

2.5 GHz Intel Core i7

16GB Ram

OS X Yosemite 10.10.2

The flickering has been occurring on all 3 of our 27" IMacs and is a huge annoyance. If you click to another program and then back to AC it will stop for a minute or 2. Has anyone come up with a patch? I know Yosemite is having other issues as well, but this seems to be the only CAD/BIM program with the this flickering. Cheers

I'm getting the flickering also, very disturbing. AC17 & AC18 on Mac Pro running Yosemite. AMD FirePro D500 3072 MB.
AC27 v. 4060 w/ MEP, Cadimage, Twinmotion 2023.2.2 using AC from AC6.0, 2021 MacPro M1 chip, Adobe CC. Used AC on both platforms.

I have been using Cinerender recently to produce images 2048 x 1536 px. Frequently the resulting 3D image window would have a major flickering attack that seems to correlate with disk activity possibly auto saving the image. This became quite frequent if their were several rendered images open.

For me the flickering occurs when scrolling in and out in worksheets, plan views and 3d window. I've found if I turn the 3d Cutaway button on and off (or off and on) it goes away for a while. This happens in 17 and 18.

Hi All, we have done further testing on this issue and have found that the flickering happens when a Firefox page with Flash content runs behind ArchiCAD. Could any of you confirm or test otherwise? Thanks
